FAQ & ADVICE

How many different types of swimming pools are there?

There are three: cement/gunite, vinyl liner pools, and fiberglass pools. Leisure Pools are fiberglass pools.

Are fiberglass pools safe for dogs?

Yes! While you want to keep Fido out of a vinyl liner pool, as their nails can rip the liner, there’s no such worry with a fiberglass pool. Just make sure to always supervise your dogs while they’re in the pool for safety’s sake.

Where will my pool be made?

All Leisure Pools are made in the USA, at the world’s largest composite fiberglass swimming pool factory in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Our Testimonials

I just want to thank Northern Colorado Pools for finally giving us our dream pool. They walked us through the whole process which made everything less stressful. We are so happy with the results!
The install of the hot tub at my house was flawless. Everything came out great from the install to the completion of the work. Communication and scheduling were great. Sean and Duncan and crew were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Appreciate the work!!!
I would recommend Sean and his team at Northern Colorado Pools to anyone interested in putting in a swimming pool. Our project was a little more involved as we were building the home at the same time, but Sean's team was able to work around the other construction and deliver an absolutely beautiful pool. I just hired them to winterize the pool as well, which included a winter tarp. Great job! The service and support have been excellent.
Duncan our project manager said 6 weeks and he was right on! However we could swim in about 9 days after digging the hole. My advice would be if you want a pool next spring start in winter with your contract and permits so they can start in early May. This year the spring weather was so wet every pool got delayed. You can't dig in mud. If I had any questions Sean or Duncan would answer them immediately. We had simple concrete poured around the pool and it came out great. We used Jose who does a lot of their concrete work. On the day when the city building inspector came for our final inspection Duncan wanted to be there. He waited over 4 hours for the inspector!
We first contacted Sean Shiers of Northern Colorado Pools in August of 2018 to help us design, contract, and build a 1500 sq.ft. year-round greenhouse over the largest in-ground pool and spa available -- thinking that it would be only a pipe dream for us to do so in Fort Collins. Almost immediately, Sean became nearly more excited about the project than we were and began applying his substantial experience, creativity, and professionalism honed by building hundreds of custom pools over many years to our project by planning and contracting all grading, cement work, electrical, plumbing, building, and landscaping necessary to realize our lifelong dream of having a backyard pool-house paradise that can be enjoyed year-round. Throughout the project, from start to finish, there was no problem too small nor challenge too big for Sean and staff to immediately address with the sort of responsive competence you would expect of only the finest specialty firms -- which Northern Colorado Pools has proven it most surely is. Sean and team have my highest recommendation for any pool-related project your imagination can conjure in northern Colorado.
